What your video should cover:

Record a 2–5 minute video using Loom, Zoom, or YouTube (unlisted is fine) and include the link in your application. Your video should address all three of the following:

Tip: We're not looking for a polished production — we're looking for clear communication, professionalism, and genuine interest. A simple, well-lit recording where we can see and hear you clearly is all you need.
The Opportunity

A full-time contract role built for professionals.

At The Smart Hire, our virtual assistants don't work in isolation. Every VA is supported by a US-based manager who helps bridge communication, set expectations, and ensure clients are well-served. You'll work in a structured, professional environment — not just get handed a client and left to figure it out.

All positions are full-time independent contractor roles. Our VAs are based internationally and work with US-based clients through our management team.

US-Based Management Team You'll work alongside a US-based manager who oversees client accounts, supports communication, and ensures you have what you need to succeed.

Full-Time Contract Position This is not a part-time or project-based gig. We're looking for dedicated professionals ready to commit full-time to their clients.

Internationally Based We hire contractors based outside the US. Strong English communication skills are required — both written and spoken.

Strong English Communication
Excellent written and spoken English is non-negotiable. Our clients communicate primarily in English and need clear, professional correspondence.

Full-Time Availability
We hire full-time only. You should be available during your client's business hours and able to commit to a consistent schedule.

Reliable Internet & Equipment
A stable internet connection and a professional working environment are required. Connectivity issues can't be a recurring problem for our clients.

Proactive & Self-Directed
Our best VAs don't wait to be told what to do. They anticipate needs, flag issues early, and take ownership of their work.

Proficient with Common Tools
Experience with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Zoom, and CRM platforms is a strong advantage. AI tool familiarity is a plus.
